Cancer takes place as of the irregular and wild splitting up of cells. These cancer cells are then marched into and wipe out the nearby healthy tissues. These cancer cells continuously reproduce them again and again and so their cell count increases day by day and this is the condition, in which these wild cancer cells fail to stop their reproduction and so persists. These cancerous cells affect the nearby normal cells and make them die because of less requirement of food.
The abnormal cancer cells have some different characteristic features from the normal cells. These cells are malignant and so invade to the adjacent normal cells and spoil their normal function. A number of the malignant cells get separated from the starting point area of cancer and so they move to the blood vessels and also to the lymph vessels that are present in the remote areas of the focal point of cancer. In this way, cancer cells affect the growth of the normal cell.
Cancers are of two types such as sluggishly developing and rapidly developing. The rapidity of cancer is depending on the area of cancer where it affects in the human body. The ratio of rapidity also depends on the inborn character of the cancerous cell types too. The spreading nature of cancer cells is called metastasis. In the initial phases, any type of cancer cells may grow slower compared to the cancer in the late phases. The diagnosis of cancer in the initial phases may be known accidentally or by any symptoms of the patient.
Tumor or massive collection of cancer cells is happened after the cancer is spread. Nodule is another name of the tumor. The steadfastness of the organ is felt in the patient if the cancer is in the surface organs. We don’t need to fear that every swelling or tumor is malignant one. Some cancers are malignant and some nodules are benign types. Benign type cancerous cells will be cured easily and malignant tumors are fatal. The best examples of benign tumors are cysts and warts and adenomas. The malignant nature of the cancer is assessed only when the tissue of the area of their appearance by a visual examination called biopsy. Biopsy will determine whether the cancerous cells are malignant or curable benign.
